How to Unlock a New Revenue Stream with Shop The Recipe

What is "Shop the Recipe"?

"Shop the Recipe" is a powerful feature that seamlessly integrates your recipe content with Instacart's grocery delivery service.

When a follower receives one of your recipe-focused direct messages (DMs), they're presented with the option to instantly add all the necessary ingredients to their Instacart cart.

This gives your followers an incredibly convenient way to make your recipes right away, without the hassle of manually searching for and adding each item to their cart. And for you, it opens up a new revenue stream.

On our paid plan, you can link your own Instacart affiliate details. This means you'll earn a commission every time one of your followers places an order for the ingredients you've recommended.

How to Enable Shop the Recipe

  1. Make sure you've joined Instacart Tastemakers affiliate program.

  2. Login to GrocersList.

  3. Navigate to "Shop the Recipe" from the HQ Dashboard.

  4. Input your Instacart Affiliate ID, which you can find at the top of the Affiliate Area after logging into Instacart.

  5. Click "Connect."

  6. Next, to add "Shop the Recipe" to your DM card, toggle on "Comment for Recipe." This will add the "Add to Instacart" button to all of your DMs. Note that this counts towards the 3 total buttons you can have on your DMs.

  7. Last, to add "Shop the Recipe" to your "Save to Email" emails, toggle on "Save to Email." This will add the "Add to Instacart" button to the emails that go out when a follower chooses to save a recipe to their email.How to Edit the Ingredients in Shop the Recipe

How to Edit the Ingredients in Shop the Recipe

There may be times when you want to specify a particular brand for an ingredient or adjust the units and measurements. You can do this from the "Shop the Recipe" Recipes tab.

  1. Navigate to "Shop the Recipe" from the HQ Dashboard.

  2. Click on the Recipes tab.

  3. Click on "Edit Ingredients" button.

  4. This will open a modal where you can edit the ingredients, measurements, and units for each recipe where "Shop the Recipe" appears.

Important Things to Know:

  • Shop the Recipe is only available on our paid plans.

With "Shop the Recipe," you can provide an even more seamless and convenient experience for your followers while also tapping into a new revenue stream.
