With over 1 billion users, Facebook Messenger is one of the most popular messaging platforms in the world. Extend Grocer's List's functionality to Facebook to enhance your engagement and grow your email list.

How to Enable the Facebook Integration

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Toggle the "Facebook Integration Enabled" to on.

  3. Click "See my new price" button.

  4. Select either annual or monthly billing option.

  5. Enter your credit card information and click Subscribe.

Using Comment for Recipe for Facebook:

After enabling the Facebook integration, your existing Instagram keyword settings will automatically apply to Facebook.

For posting on Facebook, you have two options:

  1. You can include the keyword and URL in the caption the same as you would for Instagram.

  2. Recommended: Only include the keyword in your post caption and then hop into GrocersList to add the URL after you post to incentivize followers to comment.

Here is a video walkthrough of option two with the steps listed below:

  1. Add your keyword to GrocersList under the Basic tab on Comment for Recipe.

  2. When you go to post on Facebook, include the keyword in your post caption.

  3. Once you've posted on Facebook, go back to GrocersList and navigate to the Advanced tab under Comment for Recipe. (We'll also send you an automated email that your post is missing a link.)

  4. Click the "Fetch new posts" button to refresh the table.

  5. Your most recent post should now appear in the table. Click the Edit button.

  6. A modal will pop up where you can add the external URL.

  7. Click Save.

Your DMs will now send to everyone who has commented on the post historically and going forward. Note that the same process works for Instagram if you do want to exclude the URL from your caption in a specific post.

Leverage Story Reply for Facebook:

Once the Facebook integration is enabled, set up your link and keyword under "Lives & Story Reply". The keyword and link will automatically apply to both platforms.

Important Notes:

  • Be sure Facebook messaging is turned ON for your page. Otherwise, your DMs from GrocersList will not send. Here is a guide from Facebook on how to check that setting.

  • Facebook integration is available as an add-on feature. For pricing details, refer to our article: How does adding Grocer's List's Facebook integration affect my pricing?

  • Keywords for Facebook Live sessions and automatic comment replies are not supported at this time.
