Customizing your DM message and adding additional button to every message can be super cumbersome.

But, with GrocersList, you have the ability to set defaults settings to apply across all of your automated DMs.

How to set it up:

  1. Login to GrocersList.

  2. Navigate to Comment for Recipe.

  3. Go to Step 3 and click the green button that reads "Edit Default DM Settings".

  4. A modal should popup where you can adjust your default text and add a second button. The preview image to the right will update dynamically as you make changes.

Note: The image that appears in the modal is just a preview. It will update dynamically based on the external URL you add.

  5. Hit submit.

That's it! Once you've saved your DM defaults, they should appear whenever you go to make per-post customizations on the Advanced tab.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. What if I want to change the DM button texts for a specific post? - Once the post is live, you can update the message text on the Advanced tab of Comment for Recipe. Simply, click the Edit button on the post to update it.

  2. How many buttons can I add? You can add up to 3 buttons as a default, but note that if you have Save to Email enabled, the 'Save to Email' button will count as one of your 3 buttons.

  3. Is this feature available on my plan? Custom DM defaults is available on ALL paid plans. If you're on a free plan and you would like to use this feature, you can upgrade here.
