What is a "keyword" in GrocersList?

A keyword in GrocersList is a specific word or phrase that your followers use when commenting on your post to receive a link in return. For example, if you ask your followers to comment "dinner" to get a recipe, "dinner" is your keyword.

When a follower uses your keyword in a comment, our system automatically sends them the associated link via direct message (DM).

Adding keywords in GrocersList

There are two types of keywords you can add in GrocersList:

  1. Default keywords: Apply to every post (e.g., "recipe" or "send recipe")

  2. Post-specific keywords: Apply to individual posts (e.g., "lasagna" or "crispy rice salmon bowl")

How to Add Default Keywords:

  1. Go to Comment for Recipe.

  2. Click on the Basic tab.

  3. In Step 1, add your desired keywords.

  4. Remember to include the keyword in your post caption when you publish on Instagram or Facebook.

How to Add Post-Specific Keywords:

  1. Go to Comment for Recipe.

  2. Click on the Advanced tab.

  3. Find the post you want to edit in the table and click the "Edit" button. (If you don't see your post, click "Fetch new posts" to refresh the table.)

  4. Add your keyword(s) to the "keywords (optional)" form. Be sure to separate multiple keywords with commas.

Note: Post-specific keywords override default keywords for that particular post.

Keyword Best Practices:

  • Avoid using generic words like "LOVE" that your followers might use in a variety of contexts. This helps prevent us accidentally sending them an external link when they are expressing their love for you or your content.

  • Keep it short and simple. Choose a word that is specific enough to be memorable for your followers as they type it. If the word is difficult to spell, consider adding common misspellings as keywords in your account. There is no limit to the number of keywords you can add.

  • Forgot to add a keyword to GrocersList before making a post? No worries! Simply add the keyword as soon as you remember, and anyone who comments on the post after you add the keyword will receive the link.

Custom keywords are only available on paid plans. Please reach out to [email protected] if you have any questions!
