If you've ever received the following message before from Instagram: "We limit how often you can do certain things on Instagram, like commenting, to protect our community", we know it can be frustrating.


As a GrocersList customer, we help you avoid message delivery issues by limiting the number of comment replies our system sends per hour on your behalf, in accordance with Instagram's guidelines.

Once you reach your hourly comment threshold, your comment replies will be placed in a queue, similar to a deli counter at a grocery store. We will then send out batches of messages every hour until we have responded to all of your commenters.

It is important to note that DMs with the link to your recipe will be sent instantly. This means your followers will receive your content immediately after they reply. Your public reply to your comment on the post may just take a little longer.

Another factor that could lead to potential comment reply blocks is the use of emojis. We recommend using only one emoji and ensuring that each comment includes at least one word. For more guidance on structuring your comment replies, please refer to our How to Use Comment For Recipe help doc.
