How to set up a Carousel DM

You know how you can do carousel posts on Instagram where you can share multiple images or videos?

Now, with Grocers List, you can carry that same format over to your automated DMs. Share meal plans, recipe rounds ups, and affiliate links all in one easily swipeable direct message to your followers.

How to Create Carousel DMs:

  1. Navigate to Comment for DM.

  2. Click Edit Default DM Card Settings, Prepare Next Post or New Story/Live Reply buttons to open the DM editor.

  3. Click the plus button next to the DM card.

  4. Customize the second card in your carousel.

    1. Add a URL

    2. Customize the message

    3. Edit the description (up to 80 characters)

    4. Write the text for the button.

  5. Add additional DM cards as desired.

  6. Hit the Save button.

To remove a card in the carousel, click the Remove Card button.


Things to Note:

  • You can add up to 9 DM cards in your carousel message.
    ​

  • You can add carousel DMs to your default DM settings, prepare a new post or story reply, or edit existing posts on the Posts & Reels or Stories & Lives tables.
    ​

  • If you have our Save to Email or Shop the Recipe features enabled, those buttons will show on ALL of the DM cards in your carousel.
